Google is expected to launch the successor of their Nexus 7 Tablet at Google I/O event in May this year.

And we are already hearing reports about the changes that are likely to be incorporated.

The more obvious improvement would be resolution. Next version of Nexus 7 is likely to feature a 1080p display.

Google is also expected to swap Nvidia provided processors with chips from Qualcomm.

This should help them in offering LTE support in the higher end models without significant changes to the design.

Google Nexus 7 has been a massive success for both Google and Asus. Though neither of them have revealed concrete sales figures.
